Laser Depilation
Permanent
hair removal is possible with the use of laser technology.
The
laser light of the depilation laser is extremely efficient and
accurate in destroying hair roots and thus removing unwanted hair.
Hair may only be destroyed when it is growing because then it
has colouring. Only one third of our hair grows at a time, each
zone has to be treated at least three times, in six-week intervals,
before the depilation is complete.
The
best candidates for laser depilation are dark haired people with
fair complexion. Blond hair cannot be destroyed with this technique
and dark skin needs to be treated with great care since the skin
pigment can be damaged.
In
order for this treatment to be effective any waxing must be discontinued
3 weeks before treatment. Depilatory creams and shaving may still
be used.
It
is recommended that this procedure be avoided during summer months,
as it is important to avoid all sun exposure both during and between
treatments.
